Why Ceramic Tint Is a Must in Arizona
Our sun doesn’t take summers off. Factory glass lets the heat and UV pour straight in. Nano-ceramic film stops them at the window.
A cooler cabin, faster
Ceramic film rejects up to 80% of infrared heat and 66% of total solar energy, so your A/C cools the car down instead of fighting the sun.
99% UV protection
Arizona’s UV index regularly hits “extreme.” Tint blocks 99% of UV rays, protecting your skin and your passengers on every commute.
Saves your interior
Constant sun cracks dashboards and fades leather and trim. Cutting UV and heat keeps the inside looking new and helps your resale value.
No signal interference
Unlike metallic films, nano-ceramic has no metal in it. Your phone, GPS, radio and toll tags work exactly like they did before.
Arizona-legal: front side windows must let in more than 33% of light. We’ll match the darkest legal shade to your car, or go darker in the back where there’s no limit.

Arizona Window Tint Laws
VLT = visible light transmission, the % of light the glass and film let through. Lower % = darker.
Non-reflective tint above the AS-1 line, usually the top ~5 inches.
Must let in at least 33% of light. We install 35% or lighter.
No VLT limit. 20% and 5% are popular for privacy.
No VLT limit on the back glass.
- Side windows can’t be more than 35% reflective, so no mirror-like films.
- Red and amber tint colors aren’t allowed.
- Light-sensitive medical condition? A doctor’s letter and ADOT approval can allow darker film. Keep the paperwork in the car.

The Origin of SlowGPS
What started as a hobby at 17 turned into a passion. When 2020 left a lot of free time, Miguel spent it on his own car, then his parents' cars, then friends' cars, and word spread from there.
The business launched as Miguel's Mobile Magic in 2021 and became SlowGPS in 2025. It has grown from simple washes to full paint corrections, ceramic coatings and window tint, and every car still gets the owner's eye before it goes home.
